Ian Wexler

Director of Photography

Most days you can find Ian running around Boston with a DSLR or film camera in hand, shooting music videos and short films. An award-winning independent filmmaker, he brings technical expertise to the project from years of work as a director of photography, camera operator, audio technician, and editor. With My Own Two Wheels marks Ian's first experience in the realm of documentary filmmaking, something that he hopes to continue to pursue. Ian's love for bicycles began at Santa Barbara Middle School, where he became an avid mountain biker and where he also met Jacob, Isaac and Avery. He now commutes via bike from Cambridge to Boston where he is currently finishing up his senior year at Emerson College with a BA in directing. He is also an actor and techie in Proximity Theater Company.

First Steed: A blue Schwinn Frontier...somehow I made it through 6th grade alive on that thing...

Current Stable: Santa Cruz Blur for the mountains of California, Redline Monocog for the streets of Boston (singlespeed but not a fixie!)

Favorite Movie: A tossup between Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Jurassic Park, and Touch of Evil
